Adventures in Success

Green Box Artist in Residence, Liberty Styles, will be presenting an excerpt from Adventures in Success, adapted as a solo work during their residency. Inspired by Herman Melville’s Bartleby the Scrivener, the work brings together tap dance, audio collage, visual projection, drag performance, and live electronic experimentation to explore themes of survival, refusal, and desire. The presentation will include a talk-back with the audience, and the program will run 40-60 minutes in total. From Liberty: “My residency at Green Box comes after a busy summer of collaborative work, and I’m excited to be zeroing back in on my personal process.
